April Moonshowers: Aftermoon Report

Hello fellow spoonie stargazers, happy sun in Taurus!!! Well, we just had our second full moon in one month (known as a blue moon),  have left the shadow of Mercury Retrograde and moved into Mercury in Aries, and have entered Jupiter retrograde (until August 11, 2019). The full moon this morning was at 4:12am PST, at 29º Libra. This full moon is also called the Pink Moon, which is a reflective moon that encourages us to look back on things to see what from our past is still affecting us in our present—what needs to be released from the past? This moon wants to know. The full moon in Libra brings an energy of seeking balance and harmony, letting go of whatever is keeping our scales uneven. Jupiter retrograde wants us to get clear on what we want, and how we want to expand, so check out where Jupiter is in your chart right now (look for ♐️ Sagittarius in your chart, as that’s where Jupiter is hanging right now), and think about what you’d like to expand and bring into that house.

I spotted this great little three card spread on Instagram the other day, and decided I’d do it for each sign because I think it captures the energy of this moon perfectly. I will post some videos on YouTube later, too, and add the links as I finish them. I think the shift into this new astrological year has been a bit of a roller coaster, with some really wonderful growth and joyful moments, and some kinda rough lows. Hang in there, my friends, we’re heading into Spring with a fresh start, and a lot more sunlight.

Please check your chart to see what exact house 29º Libra falls in for you, and be sure to read for your rising sign as often this gives you a bigger picture than the sun sign. Look for the ♎️ symbol in your chart, and see what is near 29º.

482F9C20-F5DA-4D1D-A81B-B7865867B641Taurus & Taurus Rising (Apr. 20 – May 20): Happy birthday Taurus! This full moon fell in your 6th house of work and health, so keep that area of life in mind for this reading. For what you are breaking free from, I pulled the Queen of Wands reversed. This moon offers you the opportunity to leave behind bitterness, anger about past hurt, and feeling creatively and spiritually blocked. I pulled the 2 of Pentacles for what part of your life could use more harmony, and the Hermit card fell out with it. Some change in the area of health, home, and/or finances could help bring some balance to 6th house areas of life. The Hermit suggests some quiet time alone, meditation, deep thought, and searching for some answers within could also help bring some more harmony in. For how this moon can help you find some inner peace, I pulled the 7 of Cups. This is a card of new opportunities, often so many you have to choose between them, and of staying persistent in reaching your aspirations. It feels to me as though more opportunities will be opening up, especially regarding finances, physical health, and your home life. Positive change can really shift things inwardly for the better, so here’s to a May full of interesting opportunities popping up.

1D6CA807-5741-43C4-B2CC-E1B7DC24B250Gemini & Gemini Rising (May 21 – Jun. 21): This full moon lit up your 5th house of creativity, self-expression, romance, and affection. For what your are breaking free from this moon, I pulled the 3 of Cups reversed—you are coming out of a time of possible rough health patches, perhaps socially burning the candle at both ends, overdoing it, not keeping count of your spoons (google the Spoon Theory). For what area of life could use more balance I pulled the High Priestess. Tapping into your intuition, look for answers using your inner wisdom, tap into your psychic side a lil can bring in more balance. For how this moon can help bring more inner peace, I pulled the 7 of Pentacles. This card is often about taking back control—you’re leaving the 3 of Cups reversed behind, which is kind of like letting all of your cups spill on the floor, and the 7 of Pentacles is about cleaning that up, and getting back on top of things.

21712626-9A03-438C-A0F0-EBD0FF3C9E4ECancer & Cancer Rising (Jun. 22 – Jul. 22): This full moon fell in your 4th house of home environment and family life, a rather important house for us crabs, as it is ruled by Cancer. I pulled The Devil for what we are breaking free from with this moon. This is interesting, as the Devil card is a bit about breaking free from self-imposed restrictions. In what ways have we been denying ourselves what we truly want? In what ways do we feel trapped, and is it possible we are the ones imprisoning ourselves in certain ways (especially focusing on family and our homes)? For what area could use more harmony, I pulled the 8 of Pentacles—this card is partly about starting over and learning something new, building strong foundations for future success, and beginning to see some of your hard work paying off. If things have been out of balance when it comes to work, projects, or financial opportunities, this moon could help motivate us to get the scales more even. For how this moon can help bring us some inner peace, I pulled the Lovers. I love this card for us—not only is it totally possible single crabs could be finding partners soon, this is a card of harmony and balance, and love of all kinds.

0B4CB5C3-D42A-4E05-B17A-9916D5CFE6D0Leo & Leo Rising (Jul. 23 – Aug. 22): This full moon lit up your 3rd house of communication, writing, thinking, and short trips. For what you are breaking free from with this moon, I pulled the 3 of Cups reversed for you too (also pulled this for Geminis). You are leaving behind a time where perhaps you gave a little too much, maybe even partied a little too much, leaving you in need of some recuperation and cleaning up. Time to fill those cups back up! For what area needs more balance I pulled the Hermit—a definite need for some quiet time, introspection, meditation, and searching for some answers. After the whirlwind of April, May is a good time to turn your focus inward and give yourself some care and quiet time. For how this moon can help bring you some inner peace, I pulled the World. You are closing a chapter here, and leveling up. The world is about completing a personal cycle successfully, and preparing for a new, fresh cycle.

8176231F-2761-43C1-A881-B56F686383AFVirgo & Virgo Rising (Aug. 23 – Sept. 22): This full moon fell in your 2nd house of material possessions, money, physical resources, and what you desire and value. For what you are breaking free from, I pulled Strength reversed. My feeling is that you are leaving behind a period where you were unable to make the moves you’ve been needing to make, where there were some pretty big roadblocks you had to navigate. For what area needs more harmony I pulled the King of Pentacles. I think this points to getting your finances back in order, getting your home in better shape, bringing all things pentacles (think home, physical health, work, and finances) into better balance. For how this moon can help bring more inner peace, I pulled the 4 of Pentacles. This card is all about financial security, coming back into balance with money and health issues. Getting yourself in a place where you feel more secure financially, physically, or in your home will help bring you some peace.

73B52D4C-F071-4A83-B1F5-84EDC4AEA3C4Libra & Libra Rising (Sept. 23- Oct. 23): This Pink moon lit up your 1st house of self, your personality as it appears to the outside world. For what you are leaving behind with this moon, I pulled the 9 of Cups reversed. You are coming out of a period of not being able to complete things, of wishes not being fulfilled, and even of overspending (with us spoonies, sometimes spending on medical issues is unavoidable, so don’t beat yourself up) and money trouble. For what area could use more harmony and balance I pulled the 4 of Wands, which is sort of the harmony and peace card. You’ll actually be able to finish some projects, and begin to lay down some foundations for the future. This is a great card coming out of the 9 of Cups reversed, and presents the opportunity to shift into a better place both financially, creatively, and in being able to move things along more swiftly. For how this moon can bring more inner peace, I pulled the Queen of Wands. The Queen of Wands is vibrant, creative, strong, and successful in her endeavors. Tapping into her energy can help bring some inner joy and harmony.

D1C74965-A77E-4106-9FE2-9D59D7A89C09Scorpio & Scorpio Rising (Oct. 24 – Nov. 21): This full moon fell in your 12th house of the subconscious, karma, self-undoing, and things beyond the physical plane. For what you are breaking free from this moon, I pulled Temperence. Temperence is all about finding balance by bringing opposing elements together. This is a card of patience, self control, and in a way, diplomacy. For how to bring in more balance, I pulled the Hermit—this suggests moving out of a period of patience and balancing things externally, and into a period of introspection, and finding answers by searching within. Take some time for yourself, to be quiet and take a deep listen inward. For how this moon can bring more inner peace, I pulled the 3 of Pentacles, which indicates success that comes from hard work. All you’ve been putting your energy towards is going to pay off, especially work projects, as well as work you’ve been putting into your health and home.

5BB847B2-6EA3-41DB-B2B4-80ACF843716ESagittarius & Sagittarius Rising (Nov. 22 – Dec. 21): This full moon lit up your 11th house of goals, groups, and your work in society. For what you are breaking free from this moon, I pulled the 3 of Wands reversed—you are leaving behind a period of having trouble getting things going, getting any projects or ideas to take off. For what area needs more balance, I pulled the 6 of Pentacles, which is all about bringing things into balance. This is about balancing giving and receiving, getting finances balanced, projects beginning to pay off. This is a nice card to see coming out of the 3 of Wands reversed! For how this moon can help bring more inner peace, I pulled the Ace of Pentacles. This is a card about financial changes for the better, new opportunities in the realm of Pentacles (work, money, home, and health), and the time being right to move forward.

ED82F99D-FEF7-44A4-9490-C7A6D7614096Capricorn & Capricorn Rising (Dec. 22 – Jan. 19): This full moon fell in your 10th house of public life, career issues, and how your personality is made concrete in the world. For what you are breaking free from with this full moon, I pulled the 4 of Wands reversed. You are closing a chapter of instability, superficial distractions, and even relationship problems. For what area could use more harmony I pulled the 10 of Wands. If you are taking on too much, and carrying too many burdens, it’s time to see what you can unload in order to bring things back into balance. This is especially important if you are a spoonie—you’ve got to balance the load you carry so that you don’t make exacerbate your health issues. For how this moon can help bring inner peace, I pulled the 9 of Cups—the wish fulfillment card! Getting clear on what you really want, even writing it down on paper, is a good way to get ready for this 9 of Cups energy.

29B04941-41E0-4A72-834E-D9861FA87804Aquarius & Aquarius Rising (Jan. 20 – Feb. 18): This full moon lit up your 9th house of philosophy, intuition, and higher learning. For what you are leaving behind with this moon, I pulled the 2 of Coins reversed—a time where you may have lost focus, a lapse in concentration, perhaps even some sort of over-indulgence. For what are could use more harmony, I pulled the 5 of Pentacles. Combined with the 2 of Pentacles reversed, I’d say there is a need to bring things into balance either financially, with your home (the physical side of your home), or your health. If you’ve been feeling a bit discouraged in any of these areas, the message of the 5 of Pentacles is to not give up, to refocus and regroup, and shift your perspective. For how this moon can help bring more inner peace, I pulled the Devil, and the 8 of Pentacles fell out with it. This is an interesting card combo  for the 9th house—this moon offers the opportunity to free yourself from any philosophical or educational restrictions you may have placed upon yourself. The Devil card pops up to remind you that you can free yourself from any ways you feel trapped, and that you have nothing to be ashamed about regarding what you desire and how you feel. The 8 of Pentacles is about empowerment, and using your skills and what you’ve learned to succeed. You’ve got this, Aquarius.

E7003494-441A-4B42-B05F-20051DD1F2DAPisces & Pisces Rising (Feb. 19 – Mar. 20): This full moon fell in your 8th house of death and rebirth, transformation, and sexuality. For what you are breaking free from with this moon, I pulled the 8 of Wands reversed. You are leaving behind a time of discord, wasted energy, even disputes and clashing personalities. For what are of life could use more harmony, I pulled the 2 of Cups. The 2 of Cups is all about emotional harmony, love, romance, joy, and bringing opposite energies together harmoniously. It’s a good time to turn your focus towards your emotional well-being, to make time for joyful interactions with loved ones, and remain open to romance. For how this moon can help bring more inner peace, I pulled the Knight of Pentacles. Coming out of that 8 of Wands reversed energy, the Knight of Pentacles shifts the focus towards working hard, moving things along, and perhaps even taking some nice long walks, hikes, or bike rides.

45052BD7-2826-450A-AA26-7487934ED90BAries & Aries Rising (Mar. 20 – Apr. 19): This full moon lit up your 7th house of marriage and partnerships. For what you are leaving behind with this full moon, I pulled the Queen of Wands reversed (interestingly, I pulled this for Taurus as well). You are releasing anger, bitterness, and hurt from past relationships, both romantic and other friendships and partnerships. For what area could use more balance, I pulled the Page of Wands reversed. I feel like this can be a message of considering if there are any vindictive, resentful characters in your life that it might be time to let go of, and it can also be a message that it’s time to let go of any anger and petty arguments you’re holding onto. For how this moon can bring you more inner peace I pulled the 6 of Wands, and the 6 of Swords fell out with it. The six of Wands is all about victory, progress, feeling fulfilled and content, and even getting recognition for your work. The 6 of Swords is all about steady progress, stability, and moving out of a tumultuous time into safety and peace.
