Deep Sea Diving Under the Scorpio Moon

Super Full Moon in Scorpio 7º 05′ 54″

Sun Opposite Moon; Moon trine Mars; Mercury conjunct Venus; Venus square Saturn

Welcome back fellow stargazers! Anyone else struggling? It feels a bit like the world is burning around us, especially with how hard the pandemic is hitting many parts of the world. If you are in one of these places, my heart is with you, as it is with my family in India right now.

This super full moon in Scorpio (a super moon just means that the moon is in the part of its orbit when it is closest to the Earth, and will appear larger) brings a necessary opportunity for release. Scorpio energy gives us the courage to dive deep and face some of the things that have been brewing beneath the surface for some time now. I think many of us have not even had the bandwidth to deal with some of our heavier emotions lately, so this is a good time to sink into the feelings and let them go.

This moon makes a beautiful trine with Mars, shining a light on our desires and motivation. What is driving you forward? What motivates you to keep pushing through the muck, to keep holding on even when things feel hopeless? We have a chance here to really understand the true emotions behind our desires and drive. It’s a passionate moon, and our emotions can begin to be more in sync with our actions now.

Mercury in conjunction with Venus highlights how we communicate in our relationships. This aspect brings up how we think about our financial life, as well as our thought patterns surrounding love, romance, relationships and how we receive. This is a great time to communicate your needs and find common ground and compromise in your relationships.

We also have Venus (the planet of love, beauty, finances, security, and how we receive) squaring off with Saturn, bringing us a reality check in a relationship or perhaps even regarding money. This can also be a reality check for those of us who are more comfortable giving than receiving, and are out of balance because of it. Saturn urges us to be responsible in our relationships, to bring some more structure into our finances, to be more discerning with how much of ourselves we give away.

With all of that in mind, here are your super full moon tarotscopes! Enjoy!

Taurus & Taurus Rising (Apr 20 – May 20): This full moon lights up your 7th house of marriage, partnerships, and issues relating to others. This is a great moon for releasing anything that isn’t working in your relationships, and to find compromises where they are needed. As we enter the waning cycle of the moon, you find yourself entering the energy of the 6 of Pentacles. You are coming back into balance when it comes to taking care of your health, work-related issues, and home life. If finances have been a struggle, you are moving towards being in a better position where money can be redistributed. This is a time when you can really face yourself, especially the parts that you’ve been avoiding, and find some real clarity about who you are and what you want. Overall you’re heading into a period where you feel love all around you, and blessings are coming your way with that Heart card. In the coming weeks make sure that you make plenty of time for unwinding and just having relaxing fun. It’s your season after all, and Taurus energy wants us to work hard AND nap and play hard.

Gemini & Gemini Rising (May 21 – Jun 20): This full moon transits your 6th house of work, health, and daily routines. If there are parts of your daily life and routine that aren’t working or have become stagnant, it’s a great time to shake up your routine. With Scorpio energy we are investigating and digging deep, so take a real look at your daily life–what can be changed at work or at home in your day-to-day? Are there habits that need to be released, or adjustments to your healthcare plan? If things have been chaotic, time to bring some order to your routine. The 8 of Pentacles is an apprentice card of sorts, and lets you know that you are on the right track. Keep working hard at your craft, keep learning, you are advancing and growing in the area of work, finances, home life, and health. The moon card comes in to shed light on things that have been in the dark, so you can expect some sort of epiphany as we finish this moon cycle. Gardenia comes to your reading to raise your vibration, and reminds you to find joy in your current situation and lift your spirits up. Have patience–things are still unfolding, answers are still coming in, and implementing a whole new routine can take time to integrate.

Cancer & Cancer Rising (Jun 21 – Jul 22): This full moon lights up your 5th house of romance, affection, creativity, and self-expression. It’s a good time to release anything holding you back in this area of life–are there ways in which your creativity or self-expression has felt stifled? Are you holding back in romance? Are there limiting beliefs you can let go of with this moon? You are stepping into the energy of the Emperor as this moon cycle begins to wane. You are really beginning to take charge of your life, especially when it comes to how you let yourself been seen and receive. You have been working towards independence, and it’s beginning to pay off. The Cat comes into your reading to remind you that you know how to survive, you know how to provide and think for yourself. The pieces are beginning to come together, and the Fish swim in with good news and fortune. Be sure to take time in the coming weeks to recharge your batteries, replenish and refill your cups regularly so that you can keep up your Emperor momentum!

Leo & Leo Rising (Jul 23 – Aug 22): This full moon travels through your 4th house of home, family, and roots. This is a good time for settling family issues, and for finishing up any projects around your home. It’s also a good time to declutter and get rid of anything in your home that is no longer serving a purpose. Make room for new energy, and if you don’t have the energy for anything major, it’s okay to just make minor adjustments to make home more comfy and cozy. Scorpio energy of course has us deep diving in our emotions, and also gives us that investigative energy of searching for answers–with your 4th house lit up it could be a really cool time to look into your ancestry a bit or learn more about where your relatives come from. You are entering the energy of the Moon tarot card, so things that have been hidden in the shadows come to light, and you can really get in touch with emotions that have been hard to get a handle on. The Scythe comes in to swiftly cut out anything that needs to be released, reminding you that you are strong enough to get through anything. The mermaids bring you the message that with this full moon you can face certain truths, as well as stand strong in your own truth. Sometimes it’s not easy to face the truth, but once we do we can move forward more freely and more steadily on our soul’s path.

Virgo & Virgo Rising (Aug 23 – Sep 22): This full moon lights up your 3rd house of thinking, thought processes and patterns, siblings, and of course communication. Things can feel like they are swirling around you at a rapid pace during this transit, so if you begin to feel overwhelmed or get lost in the details, take a step back and prioritize. One thing at a time. If there are messages you have been wanting to communicate, now is a good time to get them out and be heard–this is also a time when a lot of people could be reaching out and wanting your ear. Make sure to take time for yourself and to give your brain a break. The Chariot comes in to let you know that you are moving forward, and while there may be quite a ways to go still on this journey, you have what it takes to make it. If you’ve been isolating or just unable to socialize much, the Garden comes with the message that more togetherness is on the way. Celebrating with loved ones is definitely in the cards. There is a lot of work ahead of you, and the Rat comes to remind you to keep at it, keep focusing on your goals and plans. The Mermaids remind you that it is more than okay to ask for help when you need it or feel overwhelmed. You don’t have to do everything on your own, so let go of that story. You are always willing to lend a hand, and it’s good to let others return the favor once in a while!

Libra & Libra Rising (Sep 23 – Oct 22): This full moon transits your 2nd house of finances, security, desires and values, and physical resources. Scorpio energy could have you taking a deeper look at what you truly want and what you truly value in life, as well as your sense of physical and emotional security. If you’ve been putting off dealing with debts of any kind, it’s a good time to organize your finances and come up with a plan. Feelings of self-worth can come up during this transit, and it’s important not to be too hard on yourself–remember that these feelings are coming up so that you can improve your sense of self value. The Knave (or Page) of Wands comes with the energy of swift action, creative sparks, and information about new projects or creative opportunities. The Tree lets you know that you are well grounded and have strong spiritual roots now, so you can really move forward with what inspires you. Pay attention to your dreams now, and let yourself daydream a bit more. If your sleep patterns have been disrupted, or you haven’t been sleeping deeply, try amping up your sleep hygiene and incorporating lavender, chamomile, passionflower, lemon balm, and calming herbs into your bedtime routine. The Book lets you know that you have the answers within you to handle any situation you currently find yourself in–what do you already know? You are more powerful than you might realize!

Scorpio & Scorpio Rising (Oct 23 – Nov 21): This full moon lights up your 1st house of outer personality, the acting self, self-esteem and self-image, and how others see you. Often during full moons in this house you can find yourself wanting to reinvent yourself in some way, and it IS a good time to let go of any disparaging beliefs about yourself. Time to release anything that is holding you back from being your true, free self in the world of people. Time to release negative thoughts about yourself. Of course, that’s easier said than done, and you’re not necessarily going to be able to let go of every negative belief about yourself, but this is the time to set intentions towards loving yourself more. The Page of Swords brings information in by the boatload, and also brings an inquisitive energy that is eager to learn and investigate. The mermaids remind you that future is not set in stone–even if you feel dread about the future, you can change your mindset and remember that new possibilities are always unfolding. You are definitely at a fork in the road of sorts, and rather than worry too much about the outcome of your decision, the Page of Swords urges you to take decisive action–choose a path and set forth. Remember that you can always change course and make shifts along the way. The Rose reminds you that love is timeless and can endure, and that it’s okay to take the time that you need, so long as you’re not stalling or in avoidance mode.

Sagittarius & Sagittarius Rising (Nov 22 – Dec 21): This full moon travels through your 12th house of the unconscious, things beyond the physical plane, karma and self-undoing, and endings. This moon is already a deep sea diving moon, and in the 12th house you really can face things that have been hidden beneath the surface for a long time. Let things come up to the surface for air; the breathing room leaves space for healing to take place. This is a great time to have some alone time (though I know this can be hard when many of us are still staying home with families, see if you can hide away for a bit, go for a walk, even take a long bath to escape), so long as you’re not isolating or burying your feelings. You are entering the energy of the Queen of Cups, so definitely facing some intense feelings. This queen knows that it’s important to let feelings come up and let them pass, and has learned to balance their emotions and find healthy emotional boundaries. If you’re not feeling lucky yet, you will soon! The Clover comes in to let you know some good fortune, a change of luck for the better, or some kind of good news is on the way. The Rabbit lets you know that it’s a good time to take in all of your surroundings, notice any opportunities that may come up as well as potential road bumps you can prepare for. The mermaids ask you to let your spirit loose–are there ways in which you’ve felt restricted? What can be released with this moon so that your spirit can soar as freely as it wants to?

Capricorn & Capricorn Rising (Dec 22 – Jan 19): This full moon lights up your 11th house of goals, friendships, groups, and memberships and associations. Time to get realigned with your true goals and objectives–perhaps it’s time to let go of outdated goals to make room for ones that are more in alignment with your current trajectory. How are you feeling in your friendships and the groups you belong to? You might find yourself realizing that certain friendships or groups need to be released, and could find yourself wanting to explore new friends and group activities. The Knight of Wands charges into your reading with fiery sparks of creativity and spiritual exploration. If things have felt stuck lately, get ready for sudden motion! Inspiration and drive to take action are coming in fast and furious. The Book comes into your reading to reveal some kind of hidden knowledge, so don’t be surprised if secrets are revealed with this moon, or if surprising information comes to light. As the moon begins to wane it’s time to rest and recover, and review all that you’ve learned the past few weeks. The mermaids let you know you can trust yourself and your intuition. Release self-doubt with this full moon, and remember that somewhere inside of yourself you know what to do and can trust your instincts.

Aquarius & Aquarius Rising (Jan 20 – Feb 18): This full moon transits your 10th house of career issues, public life, and how you cope with authority. This sheds a light on your career path, and Scorpio energy has you diving beneath the surface of your career goals and path, helping you uncover what direction you really want to go. This is also a time to examine how you feel when the spotlight is on you, and often with this transit you can find yourself the center of attention in some unusual way. Notice how that attention makes you feel…are you comfortable in the spotlight from time to time? It’s wonderful to be behind the scenes, but sometimes it’s necessary to step into the light and be seen. You are entering the energy of the Wheel of Fortune with this moon, so if you’ve been in a difficult cycle, know that the wheel is turning, and things are about to get easier. The ring comes in with the offer of some sort of opportunity to thrive, and possibly a commitment–with your 10th house lit up, perhaps you commit to a career path or some kind of position that puts you more center stage. The mermaids let you know that there is power in letting go–let go of attachment to outcome, release, and see what opens up. The Candle asks you to take a look at something you’ve possibly been avoiding, and reminds you that the dark is only scary because it represents the unknown. When we shine a light on it, we uncover information and our fears lose their foothold.

Pisces & Pisces Rising (Feb 19 – Mar 19): This full moon shines a spotlight on your 9th house of philosophy, higher learning, and spirituality. This is a wonderful time to explore any subjects you’ve been drawn to more deeply, and if you’ve been thinking about learning more about a subject now is the time. This moon can have you reevaluating your philosophy on life, and perhaps letting go of old beliefs that no longer feel true. This is a wonderful time to broaden your world perspective, and to let your imagination run wild. You are entering the energy of the 10 of Pentacles, so in some way you are really working your way towards lasting security and stability in the realm of work, finances, health, and home life. While this moon could have you deep in serious thought, the Child comes in to remind you to nurture your inner child and tap into that childlike sense of wonder and innocence in the coming weeks. The mermaids bring the message that gentleness with yourself and others will be beneficial now, whereas trying to force things or being harsh won’t work well. The Crow flies into your reading asking you if you are stepping into your power, or taking a smaller role and giving into fear? The Crow reminds you that your destiny is in your own hands and is always changing. What do you want to create for yourself?

Aries & Aries Rising (Mar 20 – Apr 19): This full moon travels through your 8th house of death and rebirth, transformation, sexuality, and what we learn from our relationships with others. Often you will undergo some kind of transformation on a deep level with a Scorpio full moon in the 8th house, or release something major to make room for new growth. What needs to “die” in your life right now to make room for all of the new growth coming in? Issues surrounding intimacy and security can come up during this transit, as well as issues surrounding shared resources (other people’s money–it’s a good time to clear out any debts you owe or are owed to you). You are entering the energy of the Ace of Wands with this moon–a new beginning! Inspiration is sparked, a creative new beginning, and new opportunities come with this Ace. The Flowers come with the message that happiness is at hand, a happier outlook, perhaps even a gift falling at your feet. The mermaids ask you to keep hope for the future, that even if things feel difficult right now there is light coming in. As this moon begins to wane and we approach a new moon cycle, your own new beginning unfolds!

Wishing you all a beautiful moon–and even if there are some breakdown moments and rough patches, I hope we can all find some of the magic to be found in the deep Scorpio waters. Until next time!

Love and Solidarity,

Leah R. Chatterjee

  1. Aries sun, Taurus Rising… Thank you for putting so much into these readings. I am ready for the transformation that this time is offering me. That card for Aries that says ‘forward is forward’ hits home. My progress may not look like progress to the rest of the world but I am moving forward on my own path! Blessings!
